When you think of T’oegye Yi Hwang, you think of Dosanseowon first! The academy on the back of the 1,000 won bill, where you can feel the beauty of a seowon.

Known as the origin of the saying “a 99-room house” to describe a wealthy family. It’s the birthplace of Lee Sang-ryong, the first State Council Chairman of the Provisional Government. Feel a moment of history in Andong.

The birthplace of Yi Yuksa, one of the leading figures of the independence movement, is right here in Andong! Especially great for children learning history to see it with their own eyes.

If Seoul has the Han River Park, Andong has Ungbu Park! Great for an evening stroll. It’s also a favorite among locals as a place where kids can play.
